A Prayer to Declare the Shield of Psalm 91

Father, today I choose to dwell in Your shelter and rest beneath Your shadow (Psalm 91:1). I declare that You are my refuge and my fortress, my God in whom I trust (Psalm 91:2). I will not place my confidence in fear, uncertainty, or what I see around me. My confidence is in You alone.

Lord, I declare that You deliver me from hidden traps and unseen danger (Psalm 91:3). You preserve me from what I cannot see and protect me from what tries to rise against me. Cover me with Your feathers, and let me find true refuge under Your wings (Psalm 91:4). I declare that Your faithfulness is my shield and my defense (Psalm 91:4).

I will not be afraid of the terror of the night or the arrows that fly by day (Psalm 91:5). I will not fear the darkness, destruction, pestilence, or anything that tries to shake my peace (Psalm 91:6). Even when trouble surrounds me, I declare that I am held securely in the presence of God. Fear will not rule me because You are near.

Father, I declare that though chaos may unfold around me, Your hand remains upon me. You are my protector, my keeper, and my safe place. No evil will overtake me, and no harm will have the final say over my life, because I belong to You (Psalm 91:7–10). I declare that You command Your angels concerning me, to guard me in all my ways (Psalm 91:11). You uphold me with Your strength and surround me with heavenly protection (Psalm 91:12). I am not abandoned. I am not exposed. I am covered by the hand of the living God.

Lord, because I have made You my dwelling place, I declare that my life is anchored in divine safety (Psalm 91:9). My home is covered. My mind is covered. My body is covered. My coming and my going are covered. Everything connected to me is placed beneath Your sovereign care. I declare that I will tread on fear, opposition, and every scheme of the enemy through the authority You have given (Psalm 91:13). What was sent to intimidate me will not overcome me. What tried to weaken me will not have victory over me. I stand firm in the protection and power of my God.

Father, I love You, and I know You know my name. I declare that because I call upon You, You answer me (Psalm 91:14–15). You are with me in trouble. You rescue me, honor me, and satisfy me with Your goodness (Psalm 91:15–16). You will not leave me in the battle, and You will not fail me in the process.

Today, I declare this spoken Psalm 91 protection over my life with bold faith. You are my refuge (Psalm 91:2). You are my shelter (Psalm 91:1). You are my defense (Psalm 91:4). I will rest in You, trust in You, and remain covered by You.
